Description
A framed landscape painting, executed in an impasto technique with visible brushstrokes, depicting a wide lake with trees in the foreground and distant hills under a partly cloudy sky. The work is presented in a substantial, ornate gilded frame with carved and ribbed decorative elements. A brass plaque affixed to the lower center of the frame reads “Lake Geneva by Sir Winston Churchill © Churchill Heritage.” The style is suggestive of Impressionistic or Post-Impressionistic influences, likely oil or acrylic on canvas or board.
