Description
A mid-20th century oil painting depicting a verdant countryside landscape, executed in an impasto technique suggestive of Impressionist or Post-Impressionist styles. The artwork features a winding path or stream, dotted with pink poppies, under a blue sky with dynamic white clouds. It is housed in a gilded, ornate frame. A brass-colored plaque affixed to the lower center of the frame reads: “Green Trees & Poppies, Lullenden by Sir Winston Churchill © Churchill Heritage”. A white auction sticker, “ProAuction LIMITED LOT 103”, is visible on the lower left of the frame.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. The canvas appears stable with no visible tears or significant paint loss. The gilded frame shows minor surface wear consistent with age and handling. No apparent signs of major restoration or repair.
