Description
A Regency style mahogany pedestal desk and accompanying armchair. The desk features a traditional dark-toned wood construction with a leather-inset top, bordered by a gilded design. It is fitted with three frieze drawers, each adorned with ornate brass pull handles. The desk is supported by two pedestals, each housing a cupboard door, flanked by classical-style fluted columns with acanthus leaf capitals, and finished with decorative brass mounts on its feet. The armchair, crafted from matching dark wood, exhibits a shaped ladder-back design with scroll arms and an upholstered seat in a red, cream, and gold striped fabric, detailed with decorative brass studding.
