Description

A pair of hand-colored aquatint engravings by Henry Salt, published by William Miller, Albemarle Street, on May 1, 1809. The first print, titled “PAGODA AT RAMISSERAM,” depicts a detailed architectural landscape featuring prominent temple structures, trees, figures, and an elephant. The second print, titled “CALCUTTA,” presents a panoramic cityscape with numerous buildings, gardens, and distant vistas. Both prints are presented under glass within broad white mats and housed in substantial, likely gilded, wooden frames.
