Description
An English early 19th century Regency style mahogany console table, featuring a rectangular mirrored or dark glass top. The frieze is adorned with carved fluting, rosettes, and a central floral swag, supported by fluted tapered legs. Accompanied by a three-piece gilt bronze garniture set, executed in a Rococo Revival or French Empire style. The central mantel clock features an elaborate case with scrolling foliage and classical figures, housing a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, marked ‘PARIS’. This is flanked by a pair of similarly styled multi-arm candelabra.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. The console table exhibits minor surface wear and patination consistent with age and use. The mirrored or glass top appears intact with no significant chips or cracks. The garniture set retains a consistent gilt finish with some minor tarnishing and surface dust commensurate with age. The clock mechanism\'s functionality has not been tested. No significant damage or repairs are immediately apparent on either item.
