Description
A pair of figural sculptures crafted from patinated cast metal, likely bronze or spelter, with a dark, consistent finish. Each sculpture depicts a male figure in 18th-century period dress. One figure is shown playing a violin, while the other holds an artist’s palette and a book or canvas. The figures stand on separate, multi-tiered circular bases, possibly wooden, which exhibit a molded or reeded design. Brown paper tags bearing the handwritten inscriptions ‘170 x 2’ and ‘170’ are affixed to the bases, likely serving as inventory markings.
