Luton Hoo - Bedrooms
Lot 172:
Description
A pair of David Easton Claremont drapery panels with a coordinating shaped valance. Crafted in a formal, ornate style suggestive of late 19th or early 20th-century aesthetics. The main fabric is a light gold or cream-colored woven textile, possibly a silk damask or jacquard, displaying a subtle repeating geometric and floral pattern. Complementing this, the valance and leading edges of the drapery are embellished with a contrasting deep red/burgundy trim, incorporating a decorative beaded fringe. Each panel is secured by elaborate braided cord tie-backs, culminating in substantial, multi-tiered tassels in harmonizing red, gold, and cream tones.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. No obvious tears, significant fading, or extensive wear observed. Minor signs of age-appropriate use may be present.
