Description
A group of three framed reproductions after Edmond Dulac’s illustrations for ‘The Little Mermaid’. Each piece is presented in a similar rectangular gilded wood frame with a wide white mat, under glass. The illustrative style is reminiscent of the early 20th-century “Golden Age of Illustration” or Art Nouveau, featuring fantastical and narrative elements. One piece depicts an intricate underwater or mythological scene with multiple figures. Another features two figures by a body of water with architectural elements, with a faint signature visible to the bottom right. The third piece is an abstract depiction of water or sky.
