Luton Hoo - Bedrooms
Lot 200:
Description
A pair of Empire style armchairs, featuring dark-stained carved wood frames with scrolled backs and arms, and tapered legs. Each chair is upholstered in a light brown or beige fabric displaying a fine geometric trellis pattern, edged with a decorative gimp or cording. The aesthetic suggests a turn-of-the-century or early 20th-century revival of the Empire style. Adhesive white labels, clearly visible on the front of the upholstery of both chairs, read “P.R. Auction LOT 233.”
Condition report:
The chairs are in good, used condition. Minor wear consistent with age and use is present on the wood frames. The upholstery appears to be free of major tears or stains.
