Description
A group of furniture in the Federal style, comprising a square pedestal table and two upholstered side chairs. The table is crafted from dark-stained wood, featuring a square top, a central octagonal column, and a quatrefoil-shaped base. The two side chairs are of a similar design, with dark-stained carved wood frames, cabriole legs, and stretcher bases accented by ornamental carving and brass-colored studding along the upholstery perimeter. One chair is upholstered in a plain olive-green textured fabric, while the second chair features a patterned textile upholstery with a gold, red, and purple paisley or damask motif.
Condition report:
The table displays surface scratches, finish loss, and general wear consistent with age and use. Both chair frames appear structurally sound with minor scuffs and marks. The olive-green upholstery on one chair shows significant discoloration and wear to the seat and back. The patterned textile upholstery on the second chair exhibits general surface wear.
