Description
This lot comprises a round wooden pedestal dining table accompanied by a set of four upholstered dining chairs. The table is crafted from a reddish-brown wood, likely mahogany or a similar hardwood, and features a veneered top. It rests on a turned central column supported by a shaped, possibly quatrefoil, base. The chairs are executed in a traditional ornate or Rococo revival style, characterized by carved wooden frames with cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The upholstery is accented with individual metal tack trim. Two chairs are upholstered in a vibrant gold and magenta paisley or damask pattern, while the other two are covered in a textured olive-green fabric. A white label reading “ProAuction LOT 12895” is visible on the back of one olive-green chair.
Condition report:
The table exhibits numerous surface scratches and scuffs on its top, along with general wear to the wooden frame. The chairs show general wear to their wooden frames. One olive-green upholstered chair has significant staining on its seat. Overall condition indicates moderate to heavy use.
