Description
This lot comprises an elaborate pair of window draperies, featuring a classical revival style with Baroque or Rococo influences. The heavy textile, likely a silk or silk-blend damask or brocade, exhibits a subtle tone-on-tone pattern, possibly floral or acanthus leaf, in a gold or beige palette. The ensemble includes deeply swagged valances and side panels, all richly embellished with extensive fringe and multiple small tassels. The panels are secured by braided cord tie-backs, each terminating in large, multi-tiered decorative tassels. No visible text or maker’s marks are present.
