Description
A French Trumeau Mirror, likely 19th Century. The large, rectangular wall mirror features a deeply molded and ornately carved giltwood or gesso frame. The frame exhibits classical and naturalistic decorative elements including acanthus scrolls, beading, and foliate motifs, consistent with Rococo Revival or Neoclassical styles. The mirror plate is clear and reflective.
Condition report:
The mirror is in good overall condition, showing minor superficial wear to the gilding consistent with age and display. An auction inventory sticker, \"Prv Auction Limited LOT 244\", is affixed to the mirror\'s surface.
