Lot 248:
Description
A pair of decorative portrait busts, one depicting William Shakespeare and the other Frédéric Chopin, likely reproductions. The William Shakespeare bust is presented in Elizabethan style with a ruff collar and is inscribed ‘W. SHAKESPEARE’ on its slightly contrasting, cream-toned pedestal base. The Frédéric Chopin bust is shown in 19th-century formal attire with a bow tie and is inscribed ‘F. CHOPIN’ on its base. Both busts appear to be made from a light-colored, possibly off-white, cast material such as plaster, bisque, or resin, with a matte finish. An auction tag for ‘PrO Auction Limited LOT 248’ is affixed to the Chopin bust.
Condition report:
Both busts are in good overall condition. Some surface dust is visible. No significant damage such as chips or cracks is immediately apparent.
