Luton Hoo - Bedrooms
Lot 255:
Description
A pair of substantial, floor-length draperies, crafted from a heavy, muted tan-gold fabric, possibly a silk-blend damask or brocade, exhibiting a classical floral or foliate pattern. Each drapery is adorned with an ornate gathered valance, extensive fringing, and large, decorative rope tie-backs terminating in multi-tiered tassels. These window treatments evoke a late 19th or early 20th-century aesthetic or a sympathetic revival. Please note: The modern emergency exit sign visible in the image is not included in this lot.
Condition report:
The draperies are in good, well-preserved condition with no significant visible damage. Minor expected wear consistent with age and use.
