Description
A framed architectural engraving, likely on paper, depicting an elaborate neoclassical design for a ceiling. The artwork features various vignettes with figures, geometric patterns, and architectural elements arranged within oval, rectangular, and semi-circular reserves. Faint handwritten text at the bottom left of the print appears to read “a plan for the ceiling of…”, while a printed inscription on the lower right corner of the artwork contains “MAY 25 1…”. The print is presented under glass in a gilded wooden frame. A “Pre-Auction LOT 296” label is affixed to the bottom right of the frame.
