Description
A suite of traditional-style hotel furniture, associated with examples found at Luton Hoo Hotel Golf and Spa. Comprising a bed with a dark wood veneer (likely mahogany or walnut) classical pediment-shaped headboard and a draped fabric canopy with floral and stripe patterns. The bed base holds two ‘Vi-Spring Elite’ single mattresses. Flanking the bed are a pair of matching dark wood nightstands, each with a brass-toned table lamp. At the foot of the bed sits a rectangular bench with striped upholstery in red, beige, and brown. The seating area includes a two-seater sofa and an armchair, both upholstered in a light beige fabric, positioned around a dark wood and glass-topped coffee table. A writing desk with multiple drawers, a glass top, and an accompanying shield-back chair with a striped upholstered seat are also present, along with a rectangular framed mirror. Further pieces include a five-drawer chest and a wall-mounted ‘TOSHIBA’ flat-screen television.
Condition report:
Overall good, used condition. Minor surface wear, scuffs, and scratches to wood veneers consistent with age and use in a hospitality environment. Upholstery to sofa, armchair, bench, and chair shows light signs of use and minor fading. Mattresses are used. Television is in working order.
