Description

A Georgian print depicting ‘A Scene in the Earl of Bute’s Park at Luton’, dating from circa 1763-1765. This rectangular framed artwork features a horse-drawn carriage on a winding path, a rider on horseback to the right, and a figure with two dogs to the left, all set within an open parkland with mature trees. The scene is rendered in a muted palette, characteristic of 18th or 19th-century landscape art. It is presented in a substantial, ornate giltwood or gold-finished wooden frame. A handwritten number ’70’ is visible in the bottom right corner of the image, likely an inventory or lot number.

Condition report:

The artwork appears to be in good condition, though reflections on the glass prevent a precise assessment of its surface. The frame is also in good condition with minor wear consistent with age.
