Description
A collection of die-cast metal model commercial vehicles from the Matchbox Models of Yesteryear series. Each model features a plastic roof, seats, and wheels, and is finished in a livery representing a classic British brand. The lot includes a Y-3 1912 Ford Model T in yellow and black with Colman’s Mustard decals and red spoked wheels; a Y-5 1927 Talbot in dark blue and yellow with Bird’s Custard Powder decals and red spoked wheels; a Y-12 1912 Ford Model T in blue and white with Cerebos Table Salt decals and gold-coloured spoked wheels; and a Y-21 1927 Ford ‘A’ in red and black with Oxo decals and silver-coloured spoked wheels.
Each vehicle is housed in its original straw-coloured cardboard window box with a clear plastic insert. The boxes are printed with the series name models of yesteryear in black script and the MATCHBOX name contained within a rectangular cartouche. The front of each box also displays the specific model code and name, such as Y-3 1912 FORD MODEL T. Small safety warnings are printed in English, French, and German stating FOR AGES 8 AND OVER.
