Description
A collection of vintage 12-inch vinyl LP records encompassing brass band, classical, and easy listening genres, primarily from the late 1960s and early 1970s. The group includes Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass – S.R.O. and The Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band – Brass Accolade, which identifies the group as winners of the National Brass Band Championship of Great Britain 1973, published by Music for Pleasure (mfp). The selection further contains The Strauss Family performed by the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Cyril Ornadel on the Polydor label, and Eric Robinson’s Family Classics featuring Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra. Additional records include Dorothy Squires – London Palladium, recorded Sunday December 6th 1970, a festive compilation titled Christmas with the wonderful Sound of Brass (mfp), and Clinton Ford – Sings Fanlight Fanny on Hallmark Records.
