Description
A 1:43 scale model of the MG EX182 racing car, competition number 41, as campaigned in the 1955 24 Hours of Le Mans by drivers Ken Miles and John Lockett. Produced by Bizarre as part of the Fernando Pinto series, the model is constructed from resin and features a British Racing Green finish with white racing roundels and wire wheels. The vehicle is a static display model with an open cockpit and fine detailing. It is housed within an original clear acrylic display case set upon a printed cardboard base and includes the original white outer cardboard sleeve. The internal base is printed with MG EX182 LM 1955. The packaging displays the Bizarre by Fernando Pinto logo and carries an official 24h Le Mans holographic sticker. A manufacturer label on the end of the box identifies the piece as BZ344 MG #41 LM55 12th with barcode 9580006243447. The reverse of the sleeve identifies the distributor as Minimax Import and Export Co. Ltd. of Macau and states the item was made in China. This lot represents a detailed example for collectors of historical Le Mans diecasts and resin models.
