Description
A pair of framed and glazed prints after original paintings by the artist and former England wicketkeeper Jack Russell MBE FRSA. The collection includes the works titled The Finger of Fate and Last Man Out. The Finger of Fate depicts the umpire Harold Dickie Bird MBE in his white coat performing his signature dismissal signal. Last Man Out portrays a scene from the 1996 Test match between England and India at Lord’s, where Jack Russell made 124 runs, showing Russell at the crease with Dickie Bird officiating. Both prints are hand-signed in ink in the lower white border by Harold Dickie Bird and Jack Russell. The prints feature printed titles and descriptions from the Jack Russell Gallery. Each is presented in a uniform dark wood frame with double green and cream mounts.
