GENERAL AUCTION - VINTAGE & RETRO
Lot 514:
Description
A pair of Art Deco geometric bookends, dating to the early to mid-20th century. Each bookend is constructed from multiple sections of polished stone and wood, featuring U-shaped elements. One face presents a cream-colored banded onyx or alabaster, while the opposing face is crafted from grey veined marble. A triangular accent of dark, figured wood is inlaid into the lower front of each piece. Both are mounted on a flat, rectangular base of black stone, likely marble or granite. The angular design is characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic.
