Description
This assortment consists of various late 20th-century decorative and souvenir objects of modern production. The primary item is a painted wood architectural model of Saint Basil’s Cathedral, which functions as a music box. The model features multi-colored patterned onion domes and a tiered red base with geometric accents. A circular wooden inset on the underside houses the mechanical movement. The collection also includes a set of wooden cups or shakers finished with a dark red stain and hand-painted floral folk motifs. A decorative egg is present, featuring yellow and red geometric patterns in the Pysanka style. Also included is an oval box constructed from bone or composite mosaic tiles, featuring a metal clasp and an incised starburst design on the lid, with a purple velvet-lined interior. Completing the group is a pair of miniature yellow wooden clogs inscribed Holland and featuring hand-painted scenes of windmills.
