Description
A vintage die-cast metal model of the James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5, manufactured in Great Britain. The vehicle is finished in silver paint with a red plastic interior and features an operable ejector seat mechanism, evidenced by the red plastic lever on the side and a red plastic figure positioned to be ejected through the roof. The car is fitted with black plastic wheels featuring silver-tone hub detailing.
The item is presented in its original retail packaging. The cardfront is printed in colour with the Corgi logo featuring a red dog device, the number 40, and James Bond 007 branding including a pistol motif and Union Jack. A Swedish warning label is printed on the left side reading: Artikeln är försedd med skjutanordning Akta ogonen. The lower right of the blister bubble contains printed text reading: © 1979 GLIDROSE PUBLICATIONS LTD & EON PRODUCTIONS LTD. THE METTOY CO. LTD. NORTHAMPTON U.K. The reverse of the card is plain brown cardboard printed in black ink with an illustrated checklist of twelve other Corgi Junior models, including model numbers 1, 3, 15, 23, 37, 48, 60, 74, 75, 77, 86, and 92.
