Lot 3:
An Art Nouveau Iridescent Glass Footed Thistle Vase
Description
A decorative Art Nouveau style iridescent glass vessel, formed as a thistle. The piece comprises a bulbous yellow-green glass bowl featuring a molded honeycomb textured pattern on the lower section, rising to a flared and crimped rim. The glass exhibits a strong pearlescent iridescence with gold and pink highlights. The bowl is set upon a dark amethyst glass base fashioned as three stylized, organic twig-like feet with a heavy metallic oil-slick iridescence showing green and purple tones. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the exterior or interior of the piece. The interior of the bowl shows a slight residue consistent with use.
