Philips N1700 Video Cassette Recorder
Description
An Austrian-made Philips N1700 video cassette recorder constructed with a black plastic chassis and silver-toned plastic and metal top panels. This top-loading unit, designed for the VCR format, includes a ten-button numeric keypad and mechanical push-button transport controls for stop, rewind, start, and wind functions. The front panel features a digital clock display with setting buttons, a sliding tracking control, and a secondary sliding control marked AUTOMATIC. The upper panel is printed with the VCR logo in a square and the text VIDEO CASSETTE RECORDER N1700. The brand name PHILIPS appears in white text on the lower right front corner, followed by three small squares in red, green, and blue. An adhesive identification label on the rear is printed in black and reads TYPE N 1700/15, 240 V ~ 50 Hz 55 W, and PHILIPS MADE IN AUSTRIA. The bottom of this label is marked with a reference code NR WD09 908 E 1 2 0 2 1 3 3.
