A Royal Worcester Fine Bone China Limited Edition Figurine Sweet Rose
Description
This English polychrome decorated fine bone china figurine, titled Sweet Rose, depicts a female figure in a wide-brimmed pink hat adorned with a green ribbon and a rose. She wears a white gown decorated with sprays of pink roses and green foliage, featuring pink ruffled sleeves and a bodice with green accents. The base bears a black printed factory mark consisting of a crown over a circular emblem containing the characters 51 and W, surrounded by the text ROYAL WORCESTER, FINE BONE CHINA, MADE IN ENGLAND, and a registered trademark symbol ®. The base is further inscribed in black print: ‘Sweet Rose’ A hand-numbered limited edition figurine of 9,500 of which this is No. 1153, Sculpted by David Lyttleton, and © Compton & Woodhouse 1995. The edition number 1153 is hand-written in gold-tone ink. A small hand-painted turquoise blue mark reading ee is also present on the base. The figurine is accompanied by a cream-coloured paper certificate of authenticity from Compton & Woodhouse featuring the Royal Worcester logo.
