Mak's Friction Powered Plastic Double Decker Bus in Original Pictorial Box
Description
A vintage friction-powered toy double decker bus produced by Mak’s, featuring a red plastic body with metal axles and black rubber or plastic tyres. The bus is designed with open windows on both decks and a rear open platform entrance. It features promotional side decals with a yellow background and black and red text reading BUY Mak’s TOYS. The front and rear destination boards are marked with black labels reading 953 TOYLAND. The underside of the vehicle features a central embossed mark inside an oval cartouche reading Mak’s, with the additional text MADE IN HONG KONG and the number 2004 below it.
The toy is accompanied by its original cardboard pictorial box, which displays the text DOUBLE DECKER BUS and WITH POWERFUL FRICTION MOTOR on the face. The end flaps of the box bear a printed red oval logo with script reading Mak’s above the number No. 2004 and the origin MADE IN HONG KONG. The friction motor mechanism is attached to the rear axle and remains visible from the underside.
