Description
A pair of modern period woven textile pictures by J & Cash Ltd., Coventry, England. Each depicts a renowned British golf course and its associated clubhouse, presented under glass. One piece is titled ‚THE BELFRY, WARWICKSHIRE, ENGLAND‘ and the other ‚MUIRFIELD, EAST LOTHIAN, SCOTLAND.‘ Both are framed with a wide white mat and a dark brown wooden frame. Each textile features a subtle ‚Cash’s‘ signature in the lower right corner. The reverse of each frame is sealed with cardboard and affixed with labels from ‚Neil Astill Gallery and picture framing, Warwick, ‚ established ’since 1993,‘ and ‚Cash’s DELICATELY WOVEN PICTURES‘ labels. These Cash’s labels identify the specific golf courses, provide historical details about the clubs (including Ryder Cup dates for The Belfry), confirm the manufacturer as ‚J & Cash Ltd., Coventry, England, ‚ and state that the designs are reproduced from original paintings by Gordon R.
