Description
A large and ornate wooden sideboard or buffet, displaying a revival style from the late 19th or early 20th century. Constructed primarily of richly figured burl walnut veneer over a solid wood frame, it features a serpentine front profile. The design incorporates two cabinet doors with prominent oval burl panels, flanking a central bank of three bowed drawers. All drawers and doors are adorned with elaborate brass-toned metal pulls and decorative escutcheons. The piece stands on four cabriole-style legs terminating in carved feet, with a shaped apron and a decorative carved cresting above the central drawers. A protective glass top covers the main surface.
Condition report:
Good antique condition consistent with age and use. Exhibits an aged patina. Minor surface wear, scratching, and small veneer imperfections commensurate with age. No immediate major structural flaws observed. Protective glass top present.
