Description
A Victorian Chippendale style mahogany serpentine-front sideboard. Crafted from a dark, reddish-brown mahogany, featuring flame grain veneers on the drawer fronts and side panels. The piece has a contoured top, two flanking single-door cabinets, and two central stacks of three drawers each, totaling six drawers. Decorative brass or bronze-toned drop-ring pull hardware with ornate backplates adorns the drawers, along with a visible key escutcheon on the left door and a central decorative metal mount on the lower apron. It stands on four prominent cabriole legs with carved knees and feet. Additional decorative elements include a continuous carved band, possibly a Greek key pattern, below the top edge, and reeded or fluted pilaster-like elements on the corners.
