Description
An intaglio print, likely an engraving, depicting a classical landscape scene featuring architectural ruins, prominent trees, and pastoral figures, including one with a dog. The print is inscribed below the image with „No 73“, „Published Dec’r 3 1770 by John Boydell Engraver in Cheapside“, and „From the Original Drawing in the Collection of the Duke of Devonshire.“ The artwork is housed under glass, framed with a broad white mat, and set within a decorative, gold-toned wooden frame, possibly gilded.
