Description
A Chippendale style mahogany twin pedestal sideboard, dating to the early 20th century. This large, dark-finished hardwood piece features a central kneehole flanked by two pedestals, each with a drawer above a carved panel. It exhibits an ornate revival style, characterized by detailed carved frieze bands, scrolled motifs on the recessed pedestal panels, and decorative brass rococo-style drawer pulls. A fitted glass panel covers the top surface.
Condition report:
Overall condition shows considerable surface wear consistent with age and use, including scratches, scuffs, and dust accumulation to both the wood and the fitted glass panel. Structurally sound.
