Description
A dark stained wooden five-drawer kneehole desk with a complementary side chair. The desk features a serpentine front, cabriole legs, and brass batwing pull handles on its two stacked drawers on each side and single central drawer, suggestive of a Georgian or Queen Anne revival style. The accompanying chair displays an open, carved shield-back design, featuring a prominent wheat sheaf motif, and a woven yellow upholstered seat, indicative of a Hepplewhite or Sheraton influence. Both pieces are likely constructed from a hardwood such as mahogany or a similar timber.
