Description

A three-piece clock garniture comprising a mantel clock and a matching pair of three-light candelabra, executed in a Neoclassical or Empire style. Each piece is constructed from dark, variegated marble, exhibiting a grey-blue tone with visible white veining, complemented by elaborately cast gilt bronze (ormolu) mounts. The clock presents a rectangular marble case topped with an urn finial and a circular dial displaying gilt Roman numerals and hands on a dark ground, framed by scrolling gilt bronze ornamentation and a prominent laurel wreath. The accompanying candelabra echo these designs with urn-form marble bodies, rectangular bases, and extensive gilt bronze accents supporting three candle nozzles.
