Description
A Regency desk and armchair, England, 19th Century, a pair. The desk is constructed from a dark polished hardwood, likely mahogany, featuring a serpentine-fronted design with a central bank of two drawers flanked by curved, reeded cupboard doors, all fitted with brass-toned ring pull handles, and stands on tapered legs. The accompanying armchair also in dark polished hardwood, exhibits a carved open splat back with a pierced, curvilinear design, shaped arms, and an upholstered seat in a yellow/gold fabric.
