Description
A traditional wooden pedestal desk and a coordinating side chair. The desk is constructed from a polished dark wood, likely mahogany, featuring a rectangular top with a central green leather inset bordered by gold tooling, flanked by two pedestals each with multiple drawers and a central kneehole drawer, all fitted with brass drop-ring pull handles. The accompanying chair, also of a similar dark polished wood, exhibits a classical or Regency-influenced design with sabre legs, a curved backrest adorned with an inlaid or carved decorative motif on the top rail, and a light-colored fabric upholstered seat.
Condition report:
Both pieces display visible wear, including scuffs, scratches, and some fading or discoloration consistent with age and use. Notable wear is present on the desk\'s leather top and the chair\'s upholstery.
