Description
This rectangular console table or writing desk is crafted from a light to medium-toned oak, displaying a distinct grain. The piece exhibits a Louis XV or Rococo Revival style, featuring a shaped apron, elegant cabriole legs, and two carved panel cupboard doors flanking a central drawer. All doors and the apron are adorned with foliate and shell motifs. Hardware includes a drop-bail handle on the central drawer and small turned knobs on the cupboard doors. There are no visible manufacturer’s marks or text.
Condition report:
Fair to good. The piece shows expected surface wear, minor scratching, and some fading on the top and body consistent with age and use. It appears structurally sound.
