Description
An English partner’s desk, constructed from dark-stained hardwood, likely mahogany or walnut. The rectangular top features three inset leather panels. One pedestal contains a bank of three drawers fitted with brass pull handles, while the opposing side features an open compartment. Faint embossed text on one leather insert clearly reads „MADE IN ENGLAND“, with additional partially legible text, possibly „DOX T.“ or similar, visible on another insert.
Condition report:
The three inset leather panels exhibit significant wear, discoloration, and surface scratching. The wood surfaces show considerable signs of age and use, including numerous scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss, particularly along edges and on drawer fronts. The overall structure appears sound.
