Description
A large, dark-stained wooden four-poster bed of traditional style, possibly Georgian or Regency revival. It features substantial turned and fluted posts with carved decorative elements, supporting a rectangular canopy frame. The arched headboard is similarly carved with a central finial-like detail. The canopy is adorned with a textile valance featuring a multi-colored floral pattern against a light ground, trimmed with decorative tassels, and complemented by solid red interior drapes. A modern, quilted white mattress, exhibiting a repeating ‚V‘ pattern, rests within the frame.
Condition report:
Good condition. The wooden frame exhibits a polished finish with minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Textiles appear clean and well-maintained. The mattress is modern and in good condition.
