Description
A collection of six early 20th-century archival documents, each individually presented in a gilded, possibly wooden frame with protective glass and matting. These documents, primarily typewritten and handwritten on aged paper, pertain to the historic „Luton Hoo“ estate, with visible dates ranging from 1916 to 1927. The collection includes: a 1923 „Luton Hoo Golf Course Regulations“ document; a 1916 „Inventory of Golf House“; a 1927 „Estate Office“ memo regarding „Luton Hoo Golf Course“ renovation; a 1922 handwritten letter from „A. R. Oliver“ to „My Lady“ requesting „permission to play an occasional round of golf“ at the „Luton Hoo Golf Club“; a handwritten „Monthly Statement“ from „The Garden Department, Luton Hoo,“ marked as „Mr Smith’s Inventory“; and a handwritten letter from „Stockwood, Luton“ dated August 18th, 1924, addressing „Lady Ludlow.“
Condition report:
The documents are in good, age-appropriate condition with expected paper toning consistent with their vintage. The frames show minor wear, also consistent with display and age.
