Description
A pair of early 20th century Wimbledon tennis photographic prints. The first print depicts two female tennis players in long white dresses on a grass court during a ladies‘ doubles match at Wimbledon, with spectators in a grandstand marked „D STAND“ in the background, consistent with images from the 1920s-1930s. The second print features male and female individuals in white tennis attire at the net, identified as René Lacoste and Suzanne Lenglen playing doubles, circa 1920. Both prints are black and white, identically framed in black frames with white matting under glass. A white label on the bottom right of the first print’s matting reads „ProxAuction LOT: 204“.
Condition report:
Both prints and their frames appear to be in good overall condition, with no immediate visible damage or significant wear. Minor surface wear consistent with age may be present to frames.
