Description
A Georg Jensen Danish sterling silver and enamel commemorative brooch for King Christian X. The piece comprises a bar-style pin mechanism connected by two small chains to a rectangular dangle. The dangle features a crown motif at its top, with a prominent Roman numeral ‚X‘ (ten) encircled and set against an orange enamel background. Below this, the dates ‚1870‘ and ‚1940‘ are inscribed, commemorating a 70-year period. The reverse of the pin mechanism is clearly marked ‚925‘ for sterling silver, alongside a small, square, indistinct maker’s or assay mark, consistent with Georg Jensen production.
