Description
A Malaysian silver Kris letter opener, exhibiting a wavy, damascened iron or steel blade, an ornate silver-colored metal guard (ganja) with intricate relief work, and a carved wooden hilt in a pistol-grip style. Also included is a brass or bronze-toned metal letter opener featuring an ornate handle with scrolling motifs and the word ‚Bali‘ faintly engraved on its polished blade. The third item is a carved dark brown wooden implement, possibly a letter opener or decorative hair stick, adorned with two stacked, ethnographically-styled human faces at its upper end. All pieces show varying degrees of surface wear and patination consistent with age and material.
