Description
A collection of die-cast model commercial vehicles featuring vintage British corporate liveries. The group includes items from the Matchbox Models of Yesteryear series, Lledo Models of Days Gone, and Oxford Die-cast. Each model is constructed with a die-cast metal body and features plastic wheels and detailing. The Matchbox selection comprises four 1927 Talbot Vans (Y-5) in Rose’s Lime Juice Cordial, Nestle’s Milk, and two examples of Lipton’s Tea. Lledo models include an Ovaltine delivery van, an Express Dairy milk tanker, a Tizer flatbed truck with a load of plastic crates, and three delivery vans for Cadbury’s Drinking Chocolate, Carnation Evaporated Milk, and Lipton’s Tea. An Oxford Die-cast milk truck for Chesham Dairies Ltd. is also present. The items are housed in their original retail window boxes. Printed logos include a red and yellow MATCHBOX wordmark, a script Lledo logo in an oval frame, and the OXFORD DIE-CAST name in a banner. Adhesive price labels are present on several boxes; a white label on the Rose’s Lime Juice box is printed with 72 251 8519 and 1 238756.
