Description
A collection of five die-cast metal promotional model vehicles with plastic detailing, featuring historical liveries for The Daily Express and Sunday Express newspapers.
The set includes an open-top double-decker bus in black with gold-tone highlights to the radiator and lamps. The side panels are printed with Sunday Express and the slogan THE VOICE OF BRITAIN.
The stake-side truck is finished in black and white with a black chassis. The sides feature the word Express in red script, while the cab doors are marked Daily Express and Sunday Express. The cab side is printed with the date 1902.
The first delivery van features a white cab, red body, and red chassis. It is marked Express on the side and Daily Express on the cab door.
The second delivery van is a commemorative model for the 1982 Royal Wedding, finished with a cream-coloured body, black cab, and red chassis. The side bears red Express script and text reading To commemorate the wedding of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. The cab door is marked Sunday Express and the side is marked 1982.
The box truck is finished in uniform grey with black lettering on the side reading Daily Express and the date 1945 on the cab side.
Each vehicle has a black plastic chassis with free-wheeling wheels. The chassis feature moulded details and markings that are not legible in the provided photographs.
