Description
An antique carved wood rocking horse, of the model known as Snowball the horse, mounted on a traditional wooden glider safety stand. The horse is constructed with a gesso and painted finish over a carved wooden body, featuring inset glass or composition eyes and black-painted hooves. The stand is made of dark-stained wood with turned upright pillars, metal swing irons, and brass-capped cross members. The piece retains its bridle and harness with a small red leather rosette, a yarn mane, and a hair tail. The saddle and stirrups are absent.
