A Group of Victorian Style Pressed Glass Miniature Tableware
Description
A collection of decorative pressed glass miniature items comprising four pieces in two distinct styles. The first group includes a small pitcher and an open sugar bowl produced in transparent yellow uranium glass, each featuring an opaque white opalescent rim and handle. Both yellow pieces are decorated with a vertical ribbed pattern on the bodies and scalloped edges at the rims. The second group consists of two small leaf or shell-shaped baskets formed from opaque light blue slag glass with a characteristic marbleised texture. These blue pieces are further embellished with turquoise-blue glass prunts applied to one side. The bases of all pieces are smooth and moulded, typical of the pressed glass manufacturing technique. No maker’s marks, signatures, or country-of-origin labels are visible on any of the items.
