A Collection of Miniature Ceramic and Porcelain Novelties Including a Figural Gramophone and Tram
Description
An assortment of decorative miniature ceramics comprising animal figures, floral ornaments, and novelty items. The lot includes a small white porcelain seated cat with blue eyes and simple painted facial features, a textured white ceramic figure of a long-haired recumbent animal, and a minimalist white porcelain bird in a resting pose. Novelty items feature a cream-coloured ceramic tram or streetcar decorated with green transfer prints including a crest on the roof and side, a heart-shaped lidded trinket box topped with an applied light blue ceramic rose, and a white bulbous vase with floral relief and yellow dot decoration. The collection further contains a miniature white ceramic hat with a pink ribbon and floral transfer, inscribed with the word Branscombe in red script. Also included is a ceramic model of a gramophone with applied floral sprigs; the underside of this piece bears a handwritten blue ink inscription reading JAYNE 1970 Porthcawl. A small dark blue mottled glaze posy vase contains an arrangement of applied ceramic flowers in white, pink, and yellow, alongside two separate miniature floral sprays.
